Vote for DBTH Charity while you shop at Tesco

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) Charity has been shortlisted for the Tesco Stronger Starts community grant scheme, and our colleagues and supporters can help us secure £1,500 for Paediatric Services simply by voting while shopping in selected local Tesco stores.

If successful, the funding will be used to enhance the environment in the Children’s Observation Unit and Children’s Ward, helping to make these spaces feel more welcoming and less frightening for children and families during their hospital stay.

How to vote

When shopping in one of the participating Tesco stores, make a purchase of any value. You’ll receive one voting token per transaction, which can be placed in the DBTH Charity voting box in store. There’s no need to purchase a carrier bag to receive a token.

Participating Tesco stores

Staff and supporters can vote for DBTH Charity at the following locations:

  • Tesco Doncaster Edenthorpe Superstore, DN3 2JE
  • Tesco Wheatley Doncaster Express, DN2 5NH
  • Tesco Station Road Hatfield Express, DN7 6QD
  • Tesco Bessacarr Esso Express, DN4 7DA

If you’re unsure which store is closest to you, you can check locations via the Tesco store locator: https://www.tesco.com/store-locator/

When will we know the result?

Voting will take place in store over the coming weeks, with votes collated once the scheme concludes. The outcome of the public vote will be announced in mid-February 2026.
