Your Guide to Christmas with DBTH Charity! 🎄
The festive season is almost here, and there are plenty of wonderful ways to celebrate Christmas while supporting your local hospitals!
From sponsoring a beautiful illuminated star to enjoying an evening of painting, entering our Christmas raffle or giving your tree a new purpose after the festivities, there’s something for everyone.
We’ve rounded up some of the ways you can get involved with Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity this Christmas.
⭐ Our Shining Stars: Help us light up our hospitals
Our much-loved Shining Stars campaign is returning for another Christmas, bringing beautiful illuminated stars to our hospital buildings and Bawtry High Street.
Since launching in 2020, Our Shining Stars has raised more than £80,000 to help us make a difference for patients, families and staff across our hospitals.
This Christmas, we’d love you to become one of Our Shining Stars!
Whether you’d like to dedicate a star to someone special, celebrate a ward or department close to your heart, or simply show your support for our local hospitals, there’s more than one way to shine.
You can sponsor a star outright, or bring friends, family, colleagues or your local community together to fundraise towards one.
🎨 Pub Painting: Paint a Penguin
Fancy getting creative this Christmas?
Join Pub Painting UK for a wonderfully festive evening at Bawtry MSG, where you’ll be guided step by step through creating your very own penguin masterpiece to take home.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven’t picked up a paintbrush since school, everyone is welcome!
Your ticket includes painting materials, professional artist guidance, a glass of prosecco and a mince pie to get you into the festive spirit.
Thursday 26 November 2026 | 6.30pm–9pm
Bawtry MSG, Great North Road, Bawtry
Tickets: £35 per person, plus booking fee

🎟️ Super Star Raffle: A chance to win, a chance to make a difference
Feeling lucky this Christmas?
Our Super Star Raffle is back, giving you the chance to win one of three fantastic cash prizes while supporting patients, families and staff across our local hospitals!
For just £1 per ticket, you could win £250, £500 or even £1,000, just in time for Christmas!

🌲 Christmas Tree Recycling: Give your tree another purpose!
Once the decorations are packed away and Christmas is over, your real Christmas tree could still do something wonderful!
Following the success of our first Christmas Tree Recycling fundraiser, we’re looking forward to bringing the initiative back in January 2027.
Our first collection saw 80 Christmas trees recycled and raised more than £1,400, thanks to the generosity of local residents, businesses and volunteers.
By supporting our Christmas Tree Recycling campaign, you can give your tree a useful new purpose while helping raise funds for our local hospitals.
Collecting 7th-8th January – register your tree by January 3rd 2027!
