Corporate Partnerships

Your business can help make our hospitals better, and there are so many ways you can get involved.

Many of our corporate partners choose to support us for a special reason, whether that’s to give back to a particular ward or department close to their hearts, or to contribute to our general fund, which ensures donations are used where they’re needed most. Whatever your preference, we’ll work closely with you to make sure your support has the greatest impact.

Whether you choose to partner with us as your charity of the year, enter a team into one of our events or run your own fundraising challenges, your support will make a real difference.

We are incredibly passionate about going above and beyond at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, and we are dedicated to delivering inspiring partnerships which don’t just support us but make a difference for your company too.

We will provide you with regular updates on our work, and will be more than happy to join your team meetings, ensuring that your staff remain inspired.

We will celebrate every success of our partnership, no matter how big or small ensuring that the communities that surround us know how you are making a huge impact to lives across Doncaster, Worksop and Mexborough.

Below are some ways you and your company can support us.

Charity

partner

Here at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals we’re working hard to develop partnerships which last more than a year and make a much bigger impact for our community.

Whether you choose to make a significant donation towards one of our appeals, sponsor a random acts of kindness day or partner a ward.

Albemarle Homes became our first corporate partner in 2021, pledging to donate £100 from the sale of their new homes at Vicarage Fields in Beckingham and Westmoor Grange in Doncaster. This amazing partnership will help raise over £30,000 after three years.

In return for this pledge, our charity supports Albemarle Homes with promoting their homes to our workforce. We do this by:

  • Putting regular adverts in our internal staff magazine reaching over 7,000.
  • Promoting their offers on our internal staff Facebook group.
  • Providing a promotional space at any charity or staff related events which included our special thank you day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and an invitation to the Doncaster Chamber Awards 2020.
  • As a thank you for all of their efforts and their continued support, we gave a special invitation to their colleagues to join us at our special thank you event at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Helen Dillon-Pearson, Head of Marketing for Albemarle Homes, said:

“Community partnerships are hugely important to us and a big part of our company ethos. We’re delighted to have been able to partner with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity which has already been a huge success.  The charity has helped raise awareness of our new development in Armthorpe and we’ve been able to already donate £1900 in just the short space of time. We look forward to growing our partnership in the coming years.”

Shortly after, our second charity partner Go Green came on board and we continue to work together coming up with ways to support each other.

Since 2021, they have supported our charity in a number of different ways including taking part in our events such as the NHS Big Tea and Festive Sock Day, providing volunteers to help keep our hospitals tidy during Keep Britain Tidy Week and helping us prepare a special thank you gift for our colleagues. They also donated over 60 voluntary hours to help develop a Christmas fundraising pack.

These resources are often extremely costly and as a small charity we would not normally be able to invest in such wonderful materials. However, with thanks to Go Green’s amazing in house designer’s support, we were able to create a fundraising pack which helped us raise additional funds throughout the Christmas period and helped us launch our first Festive Sock Day.

Corporate
donation

Whether you would like to give a one-off donation, fund an entire project or make a regular gift, your company’s support ensure we can fund innovative and exciting projects that make a difference to our patients, their families and our colleagues who care for them.

By making a corporate donation to DBTH Charity, you’ll be directly supporting the patients, families, and staff across our hospitals. Your gift can be directed towards one of our key appeals, helping us to fund vital projects, equipment, and services that make a real difference every day.

We run a variety of appeals, including:

  • Annual appeals like ‘Our Shining Stars’ at Christmas, which brings comfort and joy to patients and families during the festive season.

  • Ongoing appeals such as our ‘Charity gardens’ project, helping us to maintain beautiful outdoor spaces where patients, visitors, and staff can find peace and wellbeing.

  • Project-specific appeals, which raise funds for essential equipment, facilities, and initiatives to enhance patient care.

Whether you choose to support a particular appeal that aligns with your company’s values or make a general donation to be used where it’s needed most, your contribution will have a lasting impact.

Payroll
giving

Payroll giving is a simple, tax effective way for you to give directly from your pay cheque. It’s really simple to set up and because all the donations you make are deducted before you pay tax, your donation will actually be worth more than the amount you see taken off your pay cheque!

Volunteering

Employee volunteering is a fantastic way to make a difference while strengthening team spirit and giving your colleagues a rewarding experience.

We welcome corporate volunteers to support us both within our hospitals and at our charity events throughout the year. From lending a hand at fundraising activities to helping maintain our charity gardens, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

We also love working with businesses to make the most of their employees’ unique skills. Whether it’s offering your professional expertise pro bono, supporting us with special projects, or taking part in team challenges, your time and talent can have a real and lasting impact.
