Help us spread Easter joy across our hospitals!

We need your help to spread Easter joy across Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals!

Every year, we’re ‘egg-stremely’ grateful for the generous Easter egg donations we receive for patients across our hospitals. If you’d like to show your support this Easter, here are some ways you make a difference:

Buy a virtual egg

Help us go one step further by donating what you would have spent on chocolate eggs by purchasing a virtual egg for our Easter basket. Chocolate lasts a moment, but the funds we raise will make a lasting impact. We fund additional equipment, services and amenities for our patients, visitors and staff which cannot be funded by the NHS alone.

Think beyond chocolate!

Every year, we receive so many wonderful Easter dontions to our Children’s Ward, many of which are chocolate Easter eggs. However, some children can feel too poorly for chocolate, or are unable to eat it due to special dietary requirements. Instead, consider donating one of these alternatives:

  • Colouring books
  • Stationary sets
  • Arts and crafts kits
  • Sticker books
  • Jigsaws
  • Sensory toys
  • Themed socks
  • Board games

Support our elderly patients

While our young patients are always thrilled to receive Easter eggs and treats, we’d love for our wonderful supporters to also remember our elderly patients during this time.

A small chocolate treat, a card, or even a pair of cosy socks can brighten their day more than you know.

Our elderly patients within our dementia wards are particularly fond of twiddlemuffs – colourful, sensory hand muffs that help keep hands warm and minds gently occupied – the perfect customisable Easter donation.
