2022 is an important year for our Trust and charity. In the next 12 months we will embark upon some of our biggest fundraising appeals yet as we look to enable our hospitals to go above and beyond by providing additional equipment, services and amenities for our patients, visitors and staff which cannot be funded by the NHS alone.
Late last year, we received £17.6 million from the Government to kick-star plans to create an ‘Emergency Village’ at Bassetlaw Hospital. While plans are still being developed and consulted upon, it is our intention to grow this service, improving access for patients as well as their flow into hospital if individuals require an inpatient stay.
Most importantly, as the towns we serve continue to develop and grow, this new Emergency Village will allow us to meet this increased demand, ensuring that local people get the high quality care, support, and treatment they require at the point of need.
Ultimately, is envisaged that this investment will transform local urgent and emergency care, providing an enhanced service for our communities, with state-of-the-art facilities and a better all-round experience for our patients, both young and old.
And this is where you come in
Funds raised through the North Notts Nectar Trail will contribute to this new development at Bassetlaw Hospital.
The Trust will be using the funding outlined above to create the facilities required to make the Emergency Village a reality, however, we will need your help procuring those little extras and comforts that will take our new service from good to outstanding.
Whether you help us by raising funds to enable us to purchase additional medical equipment to aid with the monitoring and diagnosis of patients, or instead put a little to one side which can be used to enhance the clinical environment with artwork and other decorative additions. We really can work together to build a new Emergency Department befitting of the communities we serve.
Each and every year, Bassetlaw Hospital cares for around 200,000 local people. Since its creation in 1910, the site has remained a pillar of our community, serving as the place in which many of us take our first breath in this world, as well as, sadly, where others have taken in their final moments. Please help us make services within the hospital the very best they can be, and ensure this hospital continues to deliver high quality care and treatment for present and future generations.
